Summer and Exterior Painting
When is the perfect time to go about your exterior painting projects? Many property owners have questioned as to when is the perfect time of the year to finally go about transforming the look of your property’s exterior. Truth be told, summer time is the ideal season to go about exterior painting. Exterior painting during summer is always a good idea. Painting contractors- the good ones at least- will always recommend you do exterior painting during summer because the weather makes it permissible. During other seasons in the year, we encounter rain, snow, and humidity- all factors that make exterior painting nearly impossible to do.
During summer, there is one thing you must take not of and that is extreme heat. Although summer time weather is ideal for exterior painting, excessive heat may be an issue sometimes. Painting over temperatures of 85 degrees Fahrenheit will cause the paint to blister and ultimately not look good. So, wait until the hottest days of summer go by and then get to painting. Ideally, exterior painting can be done any day of summer as long as it is done early in the morning or late in the afternoon. If it begins to rain for any bizarre reason, postpone the painting until further notice. Once the rain has gone for good, you can get back to exterior painting just remember to sand and repaint your surface.
Furthermore, when it comes to exterior painting during summer you might want to consider starting your project on the west side of your property then work your way to the east side. The reason behind this being that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west- - you will be saving yourself from a painful sun burn.
